Meet Your Makers : Warrior

The Warrior became a mashup of these four thumbnails.

See?

Lazy Pro Tip : rather than drawing the same weapon again from the rear, you can cheat by drawing an entirely different weapon and referring to it as "alternate" or "bonus."  "Wow!" your art director will gush, "That guy's really going the extra mile."

Hey Paul,
Love your design and process on this guy (well, all of them really). Just curious, it looks like for the final step you went with pencil and paper. Is this a common practice for you? do you find that that digital lines don't give the level of fidelity you're after? Did you use a cintique or tablet for the initial blockouts?
